Sayedh Omolbanin

Biography of sayadh omalbanin (s.a) 

One of the best mothers in the history is omalbanin, fatameh kalabeyah, her life was full of love and valayat imam Ali and she was really successful in training her son abbas abnah ali (alaihasalam) to be a strong, good mannered and brave.

She was grown up in a famous, brave, loving, understanding and strong family.

Omalbanin had qualities in being very patient, understanding, she was a really good wife for her husband, polite to others, she was really brave and strong and a mannered child for her parents and so these qualities made her stand out and be one of the biggest and best women of all time.

Omalbanin ‘s family

Her father: hazam abneh kaled was a brave man who used to help the poor.

Her mother: thamameh (or layle) was a well-known mother for raising her children like no other. She was a really friendly mother, a friend to her children as well as a mother, being there for her children, loving them and understanding them. She used to teach them like a friendly teacher teaching a student

And telling them about how to talk with others, how to respect others wishes and ideas, teaching about how to be a good partner.

In many history books the name of their 11 past generation mothers were written in. they were also a well known women for their braveness, kindness and respect ness and so because of that they used to call them “shajareh tayabeh” meaning “a pure tree”

Prophet of Allah says: people beware and don't go next to the plants that grow next to the toilet.

Someone questioned the prophet: prophet of Allah what are these plants that grow next to the toilet.

Prophet says: it's a beautiful woman who has been gowned up in a bad environment.

It is related that Amir Al-mu'minin said to his brother aqil who was familiar with Arab's progeny: find a wife to deliver brave sons for me. Aqil replied: marry the women of Bani Kelab tribe because I don't know braver men than her for fathers among Arabs.

So Amir Al-Mu'minin married her

Imam Ali used to think of his son's future Hussain and so that's why he wanted a wife who will bring him a brave and strong boy like Abbas so he can have his brothers back through the war.

All the qualities that abalfazl had were the same as her mothers like:

1. He was brave and strong which he showed that in Karbala.
2. He was polite and very well mannered e.g. he never called imam Hussain brother he called him my lord.
3. He had a talent in writing poems and songs, which he got from he's mother.
4. He used to help his imam even if he didn't have much to offer.
5. Polite to imams

The lesson we learned from omalbanin and imam Ali (a.s)'s relationship was to get married to someone who had a human being behavior not because they were rich. Just like how Mohammed prophet of Allah  (s.a) said: if you get married to a women because of their money god will leave you alone and not help you through your life and let you do what ever you want, and if you get married because of her looks you will see bad luck and get bad news through your marriage but if you get married with her because of her being really strong in her religion lord will give her a beauty and money.

All of omalbanin's qualities were in one sentence of the professor zainolden, which he was known as the second martyr, which he said: omalbanin was a lady with knowledge and full of excellence to all imams and prophets.

One of the main important things in a projecting person is there knowledge in learning that is like a bright light separating the bad and the good.

Omalbanin's interest in imams was very much that they write these things about it:

Whenever she entered imam Ali's house and if imam Hassan and imam hussain were sick she used to be like a very polite mother to them doing everything she can for them like as if they were her own children.

She also knew imam Ali not only as her husband but also before that she used to call him as her master her imam or lord.

 After the incident that happened in karbala basher who is one of imam close friend visited omalbanin in madeneh to tell her about her son's which have been martyr.

When omalbanin saw basher she says ‘‘ any news from hussain'' basher says they killed your son Abbas but she repeats again what happened any news on hussain but basher says that they killed your other 4 sons but omalbanin repeats again really patiently any news on my imam, hussain, and all my sons have devotee them selves for my Hussain

After basher gives the news of imam Hussain that he's been martyr she sighs and she says ‘you have torn apart my hearts blood vessels'.

Here you have to look at how omalbanin is really intelligent and very well mannered that she first asks the news for her imam or her lord then she asks what happened to my sons.

Her thoughts were really open because she sends her sons to devotee themselves for imam Hussain (a.s) and she says that her hearts blood vessels were torn apart because of hussain (a.s).

Even though Omalbanin was of imam Ali (a.s) second wife they used to love each other very much and live together really happily.

When imam Ali (a.s) was martyr hazrateh abbas (a.s) was smaller than 15 yrs

Of age and he's other 3 brothers that were smaller than him, their names were jaafar, vaaon and Othman. Omalbanin took care of her children and hazrateh zahra (s.a)'s children really well and didn't put any difference between her and hazrateh zahra (s.a)'s.

After imam ali's martyr this devoted women didn't get married and put all her time in life in growing and taking care of imam ali's (s.a) children.

After imam Hussain (a.s) martyr omalbanin used to gather around all the women's and she used to sing sad songs for imam Hussain (a.s) and each day omalbanin used to take Abdullah, hazrateh abbas (a.s) child to bageh she used to dig 5 graves in the cemetery in bageh and named each one after her 5 sons because they were martyr in karbala and she couldn't go their to visit their graves because it was too far away so she used to sit there singing sad songs and crying her heart out, some of the songs that she used to sing were:

Omalbanin! Give me no calling

Me, the lions of wood have a remembering

Called loud by my son's naming

But there, all of them I pity losing

Four sons they were like eagle swift-winging

All of them, martyrdom tasted drinking  

And when people heard omalbanin's crying they started to cry too.

Why did she used to take Abdullah to the cemetery? Because she wanted to send ashora's message to the future

In the age of 70 she past away and they put her in bageh's cemetery next to the first people that were martyr who were with the prophets, and next to 4 pure imam's.
